W-S BURN

INTERVIEWS
                       CD REVIEWS

Pixie with lamp & chimes

W-S Burn is one of those groups you hear ten weird stories about long before you meet them. As a result of this, I--like many other people--had a rumor-filled idea of what they were all about when I approached
(click on their answers to enlarge them.)

1. I heard you guys seem pretty set on continuing to make lo-fi recordings. Is this the case? What kind of conditions would you want in order to go into a studio and make a record?

2. About touring: How did you like touring with Weird Weeds? Have you had any other tour experiences? Would you like to tour again?

3. Do you have any superstitions?

4. An article on you guys in the Knoxville weekly Metro Pulse quoted Pixie as saying, "Leaving home [Winston-Salem] forever, you don't have the best feelings about it." Is that something you're willing to elaborate on or would you rather leave it at that?

5. Was the album Dreams Tucked In Tight (Foxglove, 2004) recorded completely in a van in the woods? What was it like during the recording?

6. Whiskey & Apples will be reviewing the recordings you sent soon. Of everything I've heard of yours, Mother is currently my favorite song. What caused you to write it?

7. How do you feel about being interviewed?

8. Who's your favorite actress?

9. Current albums you're into, recommendations?

10. What's on the horizon? Recordings, shows, travel plans?

11. Since it's bound to happen eventually, what do you think will cause the world to end?
