Chevez and Bill Bartels (with hats) at Madame Butterfly's cabaret (note theremin player in labcoat)

by M. Koshkin

Chevez still owes me money. He's the great grandson of Omar Wilmac. Wilmac was thought to be a Communist...even though he lived before the time of McCarthyism. Don't ask me. I just write the truth here. Wilmac was also the biggest bootlegger in Eastern Alabama. He was busted in Louisiana and died in prison in the arms of another man. It was Leadbelly.

Chevez's sister, Laura, sings too...and she's pretty hot...well as I can remember...I only met her once or twice...

Bill plays drums and he's a little on the weird side. Every night he sits in his room and lines Hallmark cards in perfect grids across his floor until there's no space left. Then he collects them and starts over.

Victor plays the ba-ba-bass. I will never say it like that again. Just had to. Victor's a little weird too...but it's alright. We're all a little weird. I'm a little weird, myself. I would never play the lottery...now you gimme one of their records...I'll play that shit all night.
